Becoming an
Accredited Association Executive
Credit hours of each course
(16 hrs.) goes towards the final
certification. There is a pass/fail
test at the end of each course as a
requirement of participation and for
future EgSAE courses to become an
Accredited Association Executive.
EgSAE held its 3rd
training program for 2006 during the
period from 9 till 12 July 2006 at
the Nile Hilton Hotel – Cairo, as
one of the workshops towards
successful completion of
associations’ accreditation training
program (ATP)

The
course focused on understanding the
importance of membership to overall
association programs, the different
types of membership structures,
bases and categories, the importance
of members’ records, which products
attract members, how to develop a
marketing campaign and marketing
tools, how to develop a dues
structure which reflects services,
how to retain members, the need for
non-dues income, its sources/
benefits/ problems, and which
non-dues income services or products
to provide.

The course focused
on
understanding the importance of public relations for a business association and
association marketing, marketing
techniques related to increasing
revenues, enhancing volunteer
participation and strengthening the
organization, developing
fee-for-service programs & products,
attracting sponsors and working with
donors, communication tools such as
publications, media and other,
benefits & types of community
service, and PR crisis management.
Participants of both
workshops came from diversified
organsations including chambers,
associations, projects, federations
and centres, all aiming to benefit
from CIPE’s association management
program and the international and
local experience brought in by the
instructor and the workshops’
guests.
Both 2-days workshop
began with the participants spelling
out their expectations from the
workshop and ended with an
assessment written test. The most
important remark that all
participants were satisfied with the
workshops in both areas, content and
organisation.
