2006 Annual Meeting ASAE & The Center Boston-USA

In its mission-driven path to support the development of executives in the area of association management, EgSAE is exploring all available means and tactics, one of which, of course, was its presence at the American Society For Association Executives (ASAE) Annual Conference for the year 2006 in Boston – USA.

In collaboration with The Center for International Private Enterprises (CIPE) and the support of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), EgSAE has chosen 3 of its members who obtained accreditation in more than one specialization with highest grades in the CIPE/EgSAE Accreditation Training Program, to attend this year’s ASAE Annual Conference in Boston-USA during the period from 18^TH to 23^rd August 2006.

The participants were Ms. Dalia Youssef fron the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA), Ms. Mirjam Van Ijsel from the Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA) and Mr. Hatem Zaki from Best Egypt. Ms. Salam Hammad, EgSAE Executive Director accompanied the team.

EgSAE/Cipe aimed to achieve a specific outcome from this participation:

o        To reward its members for their achievement,

o        To grant an individual exceptional learning experience,

o        To create an opportunity through those participants to learn how to engage the Egyptian business community in democratic development, and learn applicable methods to improve the performance of their individual organizations.

Mirjam says in her own words: “It was a great life time learning experience, and I am convinced that attending ASAE Annual Meeting is a great learning experience for anyone in charge of managing and developing an Association, and so greatly contributes to the development and professionalism of the performance of associations in Egypt.”

هشام فهمى رئيس الجمعية المصرية للتنفيذيين وافق على ايفاد ثلاثة من اعضاء الجمعية لحضور المؤتمر السنوى للجمعية الامريكية للتنفيذيين والذى سيقام بولاية بوسطن بالولايات المتحدة الامريكية من 18 الى 23من الشهر الحالى .. تأتى رحلة العمل التى يتم دعمها من مركز المشروعات الدولية الخاصة فى اطار اتاحة الفرصة لاعضاء الجمعية المصرية للتنفيذيين للتطوير والاطلاع على ما تم استحداثه فى مجال عمل الجمعيات والمؤسسات الاهلية

3RD Annual General Meeting

For EgSAE

 On May 24th, 2006, EgSAE board called for its third Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its premises in Garden City,

 Mr. Hisham Fahmy, Chairman of the Board presented an activity report for the year that ended on 31st December 2005 and an action plan for the present year. He emphasised the necessity to increase the membership base, extension of CIPE/EgSAE agreement for another year, securing an additional funding resource and the organising of different functions.  

EgSAE financial auditor, Mr. Ashraf Halaba representing (Mansour Co, PriceWaterhouse Coopers) presented EgSAE's 2005 financial statements and discussed it with the members.  Mr. Atef Moukhtar, the treasurer, then presented the 2006 budget and gave his recommendations. The AGM approved the 2005 financial statement, accepted the 2006 budget and re-appointed Mr. Tarek Mansour as EgSAE financial auditor for the year 2006.

This year there were no elections and the board after finalizing the official agenda opened the floor for discussion. The following topics were presented and discussed:

1.       Association Executive Award Program,

2.      Cooperation between Expolink & EgSAE in the CBI seminar,

3.     Annual Gala Dinner to be organised next December. Mr. Amr Fayed and Mr. Atef Moukhtar will be members of this committee responsible for organising such huge event.

4.      Each executive director will be responsible for persuading his/her staff to join EgSAE as members either individually or through their associations.

5.      It was agreed to activate EgSAE’s sub-committees through which each committee will work on a different aspect affecting directly or indirectly the work of the associations’ executives.

6.     Planning and execution of other types of workshops other than the accreditation program covering aspects such as: finances, IT in associations, events logistics, membership, fund-proposal writing, and so forth.

 Finally the meeting was adjourned with a collective atmosphere that EgSAE has an important role in the society that will be enhanced and encouraged through its own members.
 

عقدت الجمعية المصرية للتنفيذيين يوم الأربعاء الموافق 24 مايو 2006 الجمعية العمومية العادية للسنة الثالثة منذ انشاءها وذلك بمقر الجمعية بجاردن سيتي.

وقد استهل السيد / هشام فهمي ( رئيس مجلس إدارة الجمعية ) جدول الأعمال بإستعراض تقرير النشاط عن العام المنتهي في 31 ديسمبر 2005 وكذلك اقتراح خطة العمل للعام الحالي 2006.

وقد أكد علي ضرورة تركيز نشاط الجمعية وأعضائها الحاليين علي عدة موضوعات من أهمها:

1.    زيادة قاعدة العضوية بالجمعية.

2.    تمديد الإتفاق بين الجمعية ومركز المشروعات الخاصة لعام أخر.

3.    محاولة توفير مصدر دعم مالي أخر للجمعية.

4.    تنظيم أنشطه متعددة لخدمة الأعضاء الحاليين وجذب أعضاء جدد.

ثم قام السيد أشرف حلابه ممثل المحاسب القانوني للجمعية ( برايس وتر هاوس كوبرس ) بإستعراض القوائم المالية والحسابات الختامية للجمعية عن العام المنصرف 2005 ومناقشتها مع الحضور.

تلا ذلك استعــــراض الموازنة التقديرية لعام 2006، والتي إستعرضها السيد /  عاطف مختار ( أمين الصندوق ) بالجمعية مع شرح وافي لها ولبعض المقترحات المقدمة.

أقرت الجمعية العمومية العادية الثالثة للجمعية المصرية للتنفيذيين القوائم المالية والحسابات الختامية لعام 2005 كما قدُمت، كما تمت الموافقة علي الموازنة التقديرية لعام 2006وإعادة تعيين السيد / طارق منصور ( برايس وتر هاوس كوبرس ) كمحاسب قانوني للجمعية للعام 2006 وتحديد أتعابة.

وحيث ان الجمعية العمومية العادية لهذا العام لم يكن بها ترشيحات لمجلس الإدارة، فقد قام مجلس الإدارة بفتح باب المناقشة والتحاور وتقديم المقترحات لإعضاء الجمعية.

 وقد تم عرض ومناقشة والموافقة علي مايلي :-

1.    برنامج ( أفضل موظف بالجمعيات ).

2.  فكرة التعاون ما بين الجمعية المصرية للتنفيذيين وجمعية المصدرين المصريين في تنظيم ندوة ( سي بي أي ).

3.  إقامة حفل سنوي كبير خلال شهر ديسمبر القادم وسيقوم السيد / عمرو فايد والسيد / عاطف مختار بتشكيل لجنة خاصة مسئولة عن تنظيم هذا الحدث الكبير.

4.    دعوه كل مدير تنفيذي للمشاركة في زيادة أعضاء الجمعية من خلال تحفيز موظفي الجمعية الخاصة به.

5.  إنشاء لجان فرعية بالجمعية، تكون كل لجنة مختصة بمناقشة ودراسة وإقتراح حلول لأحد جوانب العمل بالجمعيات.

6.  تخطيط وتنفيذ ورش عمل مختلفة، بخلاف برنامج الشهاده المعتمدة وذلك لتغطية كافة جوانب العمل بالجمعيات والمنظمات الأهلية مثل الشئون المالية، تكنولوجيا المعلومات، محاسبة التكاليف للندوات والمناسبات، العضوية، مكاتبات الجمعيات وخاصة طلبات المعونة وإلي ذلك.

 وعلي ذلك إنتهت وقائع الجمعية العمومية الثالثة مع تزايد شعور الحضور بأهمية الدور الذي يجب أن تلعبة الجمعية المصرية للتنفيذيين في خدمة المجتمع المصري.
